The Centre provides information and referral to a broad range of adult services offered through other organizations. As well, in response to unmet needs, since the early 1980’s specialized services for adults have been developed with the belief that successful resolution of adult issues, specifically violence in the family contribute to the strengthening of children and their families.
Violence Against Women - "Renascence"
This program, funded by the Ministry of Community and Social Services offers support, information and counselling for women who have experienced some form of abuse either in childhood or in their intimate relationships. Renascence promotes women’s safety and equality in relationships. Supportive group sessions, individual counselling as required, telephone outreach and educational sessions are provided to support healthy relationships. This service works in collaboration with children’s mental health services, women’s shelters, second-stage housing and the men’s Partner Assault Response Program “Group Delta”. Services are available in Clinton to women from both Huron and Perth Counties.

Partner Assault Response Program “Group Delta”
This program, funded by the Ministry of the Attorney General, offers a group counselling program to help men and women stop abusive behaviour toward intimate partners. Delta promotes women’s safety, non-violence and equality in relationships between men and women. Delta also works in partnership with Renascence staff to monitor partner safety, support offenders to accept responsibility and be accountable for their abusive behaviour. Primary referrals come from the Crown Attorney and Probation Officers and part of service participation is consent to consult with probation and partners. Consideration to self referrals as space permits. Available in Clinton to residents of Huron County.
