Teach and concentrate on positive behaviours - sharing, helping others
Praise and reward appropriate behaviours
Try redirecting the child's attention from a conflict situation
Set house rules about aggression and destruction - make sure that you are also following the rules.
Use disciplinary measures like time-outs and the removal of privileges.
Verbal aggression can be ignored only if it happens rarely.
Talk to your child about the problem and look at ways to resolve issues.
Seek counselling.
